Love your setup. I keep cf. ornatum myself and keeping my fingers crossed that my ones turn out as nicely as yours. And the festae i spectacular, here in Sweden we havent got any new blood in the festae for about 10 years so allmost everyone you see lacks the beutiful colour your ones have.
Oh and really like the other tanks to. A true inspiration for my hobby.

Wow!! gorgeous. I am crazy about the Ornatums, and the Festae. I don't know how you keep all the cichlids in the same tank with them really going at each other...

has the male festae gotten his color back since the male umbie attacked him?

Their looking great Mel. Definently Male and Female Festae. He will get more agressive when he fully recoves and feels good. She definently is showing her breeding colors. The Ornatums looks awsome too.

Absolutely beautiful! I'm also obsessed with Festae and Ornatum. I have 6 Ornatum; 5 of which are healthy, active and colorful juvies from 3-6inches. 1 is seriously thin and was basically given to me by my favorite pet shops manager to try to salvage. Do you have any advice that might help me get this poor fella back in shape?

try adding about one teaspoon of table salt per gallon (non iodized) and a partial water change. Bring the temp up to about 83 degrees that may help
