Sir, your argument is also sound. It defies RPG convention by removing turn-based combat, which before is not that common. However, I still liked it for what it is and a driving reason why I like such games today. Good day, sir!

@robloxguy23 Trevidarium's arguments are good, but a hack'n'slash usually contains Experience and skill points too. I must tell the truth when I say that Diablo contains RPG elements, though. But it's till a Hack'n'slash to me.

Truth. Still a RPG due to the whole levelling up system and such. However, Fallout came out in 1997. Both 1 and 2 were fantastic.

@666666MetalHead Diablo is still an RPG. It's from 1996, and I doubt any games like Failrim or Fallout were out at the time. Unless you can prove me wrong, Diablo is still an RPG.

@Columbian89 Diablo? RPG? It's a Hack'n'Slash, bro. RPG's are where you make ALL of your choices, for example TES V: Skyrim or FallOut 3.

Killing Diablo on Hell mode took alot of skill back in the day, games these days are easy mode in comparison.
