@FuseG4 That's not to say that a Squier won't be worth it. Pick out a good one and let your fingers do the talking. If you like the US made differences, again: Just play it and enjoy it.
I've played both Classic Vibes and US teles a good bit. I've owned 2 squire strats, two squire teles, one MIM tele, one MIM strat, one Highway 1 tele, and currently own a Am. Std. Strat. There have been big differences in every one of them.

Things you get with an american Fender that you don't get with a Squier:
1) neck shapes. The US "C shape" and Squier C feel a little different! The US standard ones have a rolled edge. Try it and decide for yourself.
2) frets: US guitars have smoother dressing on the fret ends, and often better fret crowning.
3) neck finish. Squier's satin feels different from Fender's satin finish. Fender's is smoother! Squier's gloss feels tackier.
You can't read a spec sheet and say two guitars are the same.

Should I get the vintage blonde (has alinco 3s) or the butterscotch blonde (alinco 5s)

@jmatotek216 I saw a band called In Fear of Olive in Glasgow a couple of month ago and trust me the Classic Vibe Custom is awesome. I was chatting to the band's guitarist after the show and was blown away when he told me it was a stock Squire Telecaster Classic Vibe Custom (same sunburst colour as shown here). Of course the American may have the edge but you will find differences between two American Teles so do not let this fool you.

FACT: the guitars have the same features so they are the same.

the american sounded betterin my opinion...the squir was to "twngy" but thats what i get for looking up a tele...now that could be fixed by some new pickups and it will play and sound like a fender lol

You can choose to have the bottom of the range of the mexican series or the top of the range from squier for the same price!

@thierrydude FACT : Your generalisation of all musicians is unfair and offensive.
Hello, Thank you for doing this comparison. If you close your eyes you would not know which guitar you liked best.
FACT: Most musicians listen with their eyes.
FACT: Most musicians know what they have heard about something is true without playing it or hearing it.
FACT: Anybody will tell you that the Squier is an inferior product without knowing anything about it.
FACT: There is NO magic to the sound of a machine-made bolt-on neck Fender type guitar.
Spend more time enjoying the instrument.

These guitars are made by Farida under license from Fender, they are a very good factory who specialise in good quality offshore guitars, they also make most of the cheaper Ibanez range of guitars and a lot of the cheaper end of the Fender acoustics too, they also have their own brand guitars which are excellent value as well.
Im seriously considering one of these to bash about, I've had two USA Fender Teles and they were great but not my thing ultimately for the price I paid.
