The Children's Interactive Library project was an untraditional interdisciplinary research and innovation project exploring the children's library of the future.
The objective was to create spaces for children in the library that offer new experiences, learning, events, sense impressions and physical activity. And at the same time acknowledging the library'sunique capacity of being the place where cildren come in order to aquire information and knowledge.

Oh really. i'd say something totally opposite. Look close to all ideas - it actually IS something exciting that CAN "create memories that last for a lifetime". Next generation is not generation of pen and paper, but plastic cards, Internet and modern technologies. We have to be prapared for that to prepare others.
I know it's sad, but libraries are not the same places they were even 5 years ago.

I don't like it. And I don't think any child would, either. The tools should be simple and multipurposed. The environment should be exciting and child-friendly. It should have bright, stimulating lights that create a wonderful environment that a child would be comfortable in and captivated by. It should create memories that last for a lifetime. This technological apocalypse does not even come close.
