CLIP FROM MY DOCUMENTARY FILM: The Legend Of The Honey Island Swamp Monster. I made this film because it was my grandfather, Harlan Ford who first reported a sighting to the media back in the early 70's, and appeared on In Search Of with Leanord Nemoy. After meeting so many other local hunters and fishermen who have also had an encounter with this legendary beast, I decided to make the documentary. There is a lot of controversy about the legend, whether the creature exists, and there is a man who claims to have the fake shoe track found, but in my film, I also interview that man and show how it is not the same shoe that made the tracks. We also trekked deep into the Honey Island Swamp where few dare to go and you can only get there by boat. Some hunters claim they've been all over the swamp, but most hunters don't go deep enough because they don't want to get lost or wouldn't want to drag a large deer or wild boar back to the boat for miles and miles. There are places in the swamp that man has never stepped foot. There are many places a creature could exist without being captured. My grandfather worked for the FAA and was also a pilot. He was a credible eye-witness. In my doc film, see old film footage we discovered in my grandfather's belongings of what appears to be the real thing!

why does the footprint have no heel or ball impressions?

When it was observed by cryptozoologist, it does have a heel and ball. If you look at it in person, you can see it. It is not flat.

Its obvious that at least some of the foot castings made are alligator tracks.the casting shown on the website is obvious alligator. A few seconds of film of some guy walking in the brush and an alligator track and you've got another myth born.
