Patricia Ballaz was wearing press credentials and was working as a camera operator for KTTV FOX 11 news. Without justification, baton-wielding LAPD officers at the event repeatedly struck Ms. Ballaz and pushed her to the ground. The police officers verbally threatened her at gunpoint because she was a member of the news media and because of her Hispanic/Mexican ancestry; the LAPD also shot weapons at or near her body. She was awarded 1.7 million after this incident. How do you like them apples

From 1:10 to 1:34 any Media is allowed to get footage of whats going on as long as they dont put their life on the line and in danger. But what that swat officer and riot Police did is uncalled for Pushing and shoving her he can be arrested and fired. Her and the camera man did not do anything wrong. The Next time they need to have their Press Badge on show identity and they are with the Press its Pretty much called Assault against a reporter. Don't forget a News agency can take action.

Nowhere in the laws or in the constitution it says that dumbass journalists are above the law. When the cops tell you to move out of the way, you have to move just like everyone else. I am glad those idiot journalists finally got what they deserved.
