A simple tribute to the mathematician of chaos theory, a quirky man and brilliant mind...Ian Malcolm! I took his quotes from the original Jurassic Park novel by Michael Crichton. Feel free to rate and comment.

  • ... these are from the book :/

  • @tyrinodino Yup thats the point. I just wanted to pay tribute to all his quotes from each iteration, which, I believe Michael Crichton planned, would fit the action that went along with each part of the story.

  • i have to read JP for school in my 7th grade LA class and im actually impressed so far. i thought it was going to bore me do death. malcolm is the best XD somehow i pictured him differently...

  • @CodeDarkBlue Haha yeah but somewhere after the middle of the book all the action picked up and it was so exciting after that. my favourite part in the book was when they discover the raptors have escaped. in the movie its the climatic scene in the visitor centre.

  • yay, for book quotes!

  • What if what we perceive as "chaos" is actually a more highly evolved form of "order?" What some call "fractal chaos" others see as "mathematical order." Some use the engine of an average car to illustrate the concept of perception of order vs. chaos. If we didn't design the system, and it has an unfamiliar appearance, we perceive it as chaotic. But to its designer (or the designer's protege if they have one), it appears ordered.

  • I thought the juxtaposition of Ian Malcom's Chaos Theory with the plot, or its expository use, was a great dramatic device when I read Jurassic Park, and then The Lost World, in grade school.

  • he needs moar love...

  • the book is better

  • i dont know which i like better the book or the movie.... probably the book for the quote "i'm as mad as a hatter!"

  • love John Williams
