Is it possible to believe in creationism and evolution? Is evolution a legitimate belief to have as a Christian? In this presentation, David Asscherick gives an insightful Biblical look at evolution from the Biblical perspective and what a Christian should consider concerning their faith. • The first line of the description sums up the christian way of thinking. Let me rephrase it, the way it should read. Is it possible to believe in creationism and accept the overwhelming scientific evidence for the biological process evolution, which has no biblical equivalent but does indirectly counter genesis where god allegedly popped all living things into existence in their current forms? The answer is NO. Genesis is a fairytale, evolution is a fact.

  • Yes, of course, open your bibles, because all great research begins with the bible. But why? Because the bible is the word of god? Of course, but why? Because it says so in the bible. It's a circular argument, and it's utterly meaningless. Why the bible? "Holy" books are simply a cultural phenomenon. If you were born in Isreal, you would refer to the torah. If you were born in Iran, you would refer to the koran. In India, you might ask Buddha... etc., etc. Test for truth. Science!
  • So his rationale for rejecting evolution has nothing to do with the evidence, but with how uncomfortable it makes him feel? He would reject truth/evidence so that he can keep his comfortable religion?

  • Praise God for truth! It was great to hear in person, and it also great to see it again on here. Thanks!

  • It is interesting he says wilful ignorance is a sin then argues that that is what a good Christian should do.

  • Too bad that you don't understand what is being said.

You know that my Bible telle me in Mat 5:22 "But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire".

Better be careful on what you call people because it takes someone who is stupid to call someone stupid.

  • you should be ashamed, stupid fool
