One person's lives can touch so many others...
"My name is Christopher Lo, and I would like to share with you the story of how I was inspired to create The Karma Seed. On April 25, 2010 I left my camera outside of my university's library. I had been shooting a promotional video for a student group, and I somehow managed to leave it behind. For the next few days, I frequented the school's lost and found website hoping that it would turn up. To be honest, though, I wasn't really expecting to see the camera again; anyone could have simply erased the memory and called it their own. Imagine my surprise when, after several days of resigning myself to bad news (or no news), I discovered that someone had turned it in. When I went to retrieve it, I found a video that I had definitely not recorded. Click here to view the video!

I was completely taken aback by this act of kindness. I began to consider how many people make the choice to do good every day, and the way the small favors we do for each other add up to make the world a more beautiful place to live. I was determined to share this revelation, to give people the opportunity to experience the joy of finding selflessness in others or in themselves. And so The Karma Seed was born.

The Karma Seed allows anyone -- young or old, rich or poor -- to increase their potential to have a positive impact on the lives of others. It makes a simple piece of plastic a record of meaningful connections between strangers, connections formed by the things that I believe make us human: kindness, thoughtfulness, and a basic desire to do good. To me, the beauty of the site lies in the stories people share. As long as there's still goodness in the world and people willing to start and pass seeds, I will continue to provide the platform that I have grown so quickly to love. I hope The Karma Seed will inspire you in the same way that it has inspired me."
