I have been working on Human Flag progressions over the last few months and I am now at a stage where I can hold the flag from a vertical bar. However, a few issues I am having are that I seem to have backwards momentum one the bar once in the flag position, which causes me to rotate backwards around the bar and forcing me to let go. Once I solve this I may be able to hold the flag for longer periods of time.

  • I found wider grip better in this move, and it's also easier on ladder, as deffcon9 said.

  • Agreed, have been trying it recently with a wider grip and am able to stop the rotation and hold it for longer. I will devise some bars to give the ladder a try in my garage when I clear the crap out of it.

  • Try using an actual round pole. The square one is probably forcing you to slip off since it has defined edges (the corners..)

  • Cheers, will try to get "round" to it. Only round poles I can find seem to be lamp posts, but don't want to start roaming the streets looking like some acrobat ;-)

  • try using ladder. Sevven seconds - personal record :)

  • that grip was too close

  • Smaller and rounder poles seem to work best for me. And try starting off kicking your legs higher in the air, then gradually lower them down horizontally. Good try though, keep it up man

  • Work it on a ladder boltet to a wall, check out my shitty Astro, you can see what i mean there :)
