Although Beckel and Thomas took us back on a bit of a trip to the 60's (as only two old columnists could do), I am really surprised at both of their level of reasonableness. Neither of them took cheap shots at each other and they both pretty much agree on what we need to do. Crazy!

MAke dope cheap then the war lorda loose their ability to pay for the arms. No arms then they would need national support to war and what nation would benefit from bogging down the USA in a war. What nation would not we still have those that would use another angle to defeat USA rather than sending the masses into machine gun fire. Read the art of war? DUH?

Obama will send the 40K but this will not be a crew for the sake of Afghanistan (AGN) but Iran sure they are saying 40K but what will Iran think120K? Why send 40K to AGN when we can bankrupt the dope dealers by legalizing drugs. Give addicts a script and provide them with their fix legetimately. You do this one thing you would make the dope growers paupers instantly they would have to deal with the FED as a middle man rather than smuggler. A legitimate importation would provide the control.
