@cmgcp72 I agree. I think an Ukyo/Ranma pairing would be much better than Ranma and Akane.

By the way, I do NOT dislike Akane. I just think that given the way she and Ranma fight so much, a marrage between them would not be a happy one. I think it would be better if Ranma married Ukyo and Akane married Ryoga.

Ukyo could be the most under rated person in Ranma 1/2. She's sane, can cook anything, and everything with skills that would put the most high end cheifs to shame. Is able to hold her own in a fight. She's awesome.

Ryoga and Ukyo would never get along. He's a sensitive guy and wants some gentle and patient, and Ukyo's a more proactive girl who wants a manly man. Akane's not bad, but I think Ranma/Ukyo is just a better couple.

On a completely unrelated note, where did you get the footage of Ukyo in that white sweater and that clip where Ranma was wearing a white version of his Chinese shirt? I can't seem to find them anywhere even though I checked the movies and OVAs.

Nabiki is not the best but still one of the lesser bad choices. She is too much into making money and using people to be a a person you can trust and love. Maybe, if they worked out there differences and gained respect for the other then something could come out of it.

IMO, the only one who would be a good choice for Ranma is Kasumi and I'm sure that neither would go for it.

@zenegermen actually i agree ryogas girl is akari, i did read all of the manga front to back, but a lot of ppl only know ranma by the anime, so akari dosent even exist to them, so they think that Ukyo is the ovious choise, and at the end (of the manga) Ryogas seems to be geting or goten over akane seing how much ranma and akane love each othere, and having very strong fealings for akari.

Akane isn't the most well versed in homekeeper skills that for sure. So I'd say that Ranma is better off with a complete new girl someone who doesn't have a tie with the others. I'd even settle for Nabiki, if she wasn't so greedy by the end of the story they might actually work things out.

Ukyo has always been my favorite character. I grew up watching the dubs. When I first saw Sango in Inuyasha (english dub) I was like, "hey what the hell is Ukyo doing there?"

Same voice actor, exactly same style. huge oversized weapon, unisex clothing.. Takahashi copied it to a "t"

The problem is that they don't see each other more than a way to achieve the person they want. By the way, Ukyo dislikes Ryoga, because he is a fool. read the manga and stop believing the filler episodes.

The only woman besidese Akane is Akari Unryu who Ryoga could be paired with.

Not really. I wouldn't even call her a real friend of Ranma. Like everyone else in the Ranmaverse she wants something from him. In Ukyo's head once Ranma marries her they will start there shop and in them Ranma works for her and doesn't even care that Ranma might not want to spend the rest of his life working at her shop.

So I'd say that while she is the tamest I'd think Ranma would be better off without her unless he wants to be a cook/cashier/waiter.

Ukyo and Ranma is much better than Akane and Ranma. Ukyo is the right girl for Ranma.
