I was flying from Hong Kong new [Chek Lap Kok] airport, China to Bangkok [Suvarnabhumi], Thailand with friends. Chek Lap Kok airport replaced the old Kai Tak airport which is located on Kowloon bay. During the days of Kai Tak airport landing was extremly difficult because the airport was built in the downtown area. So thats why in 1997 the new Chek Lap Kok airport which is built on Lantau island replaced the old international airport. The flight attendants on this flight are Japanese, Cantonese and Thai. After the flight landed in Bangkok it continued to Karachi [Jinnah airport], Pakistan. They also had really good food on the airplane. I had Pasta with Chicken. The inflight meals are provided by Cathay Pacific airways catering. We took off on Rwy 07R and landed in BKK on Rwy 19R. While pulling towards the gate at BKK our airplane is guided by the Visual Guidance System instead of using marshallers. Many of the passengers on this flight are Indian and Pakistanis.
