  • @petrus4 - Hey, yeah, i avoid going to forums, they are too chaotic. i rather get together with my local chapter, promote events and talk to like minded people (that use to be the people that approach us). Have you seen the what the zeitgeist vancouver chapter and other chapters have been doing regard the "stall" idea? It is a great way to "let people approach you" watch?v=w7ejH1oajYQ

Yeah, we can produce clean energy with no need to come to 18th century ways but most people seems to ignore it.

  • @FactualSolutions I was on the TZM forum for a little while. I've also seen all three of the films; although I think I probably got the most out of Moving Forward.

If I think about it, probably the main thing I think TZM brings to the table, is optimism about sustainable energy. One of the main ways that it differs from a lot of people in this area, is that most others assume that we will have to go back to the 18th century after Peak Oil.

  • @petrus4 - Hi, great to hear from you again - i am glad to know you are aware regard what TZM&TVP are, some people don't approve them but actually haven't watched the movies also - LOL - So, it is hard to talk to them, but as you have watched the movies, it makes my life easier. Check the last Zmovie released on january 2011 - "zeitgeist moving forward" - It is online on youtube and it has almost 10 million views on it.

But going to a TT or a RBE, it does not matter, they are all sustainable :)

  • @FactualSolutions Thanks, and I apologise if I sounded like a troll. I've made a decision about which of these two paths I intend to take, though, and TT is it. I've recently joined the TT mailing list for my local area. I was fairly big into TVP/ZM at one point, but truthfully, the more I learned, the less confident I felt about it. We need something that is less technologically oriented, I feel; not more. Steampunk is the way forward for me...not transhumanism.

  • @petrus4 - Hi there petrus - the TT are indeed flourishing and we have contacted several of them - in overall, most of them support what a RBE proposes - most TT are in fact using the technology that "zeitgeist moving forward" talks about (the last Zmovie released on january 2011 - check it out).

So, science fiction or not, it is happening in one level or another.

By the way, we are on Phase one right now (if you don't know what that means, again, watch "zeitgeist moving forward")

    take it easy

  • @FactualSolutions Transition actually has a future. Zeitgeist doesn't. The movies have some good info...but the Venus Project is borderline science fiction. Permaculture, on the other hand, actually works. It's proven.

Jacques Fresco also won't public domain his house designs or anything else. In his mind, it's his way or the highway.

  • thanks for the sunny, warm and informative presentation - hope TT is changing the world from the bottom

  • If you liked the transition movement, so you should know the Zeitgeist Movement - it is all about transition and much more info that you never thought about....Watch online, NOW - "Zeitgeist Addendum" - on youtube or google videos

Later on, start spreading awareness about it visit (delete all the 3 spaces along the address to get it right):
