Hi! I have a one child and I'm 35yrs old. I hope this helps. I had Paragard (hormones I can't do anymore) Insertion was painless! Just a twitch and that was it. Don't listen to all the horrer stories! I just got mine 2 weeks ago and I too was scared. Go to IUD Divas there is lots of support for women who have had IUDs but have not been pregnant before! Everyone reacts differently to IUDs so don't be scared.
