Bruce Bouton recorded this great inro, flanked the the great Ray Flacke on guitar...They were the Nashville dream team, and recorded some of the finest country music ever....This is a close but not precide rendition, in the right positions...Play with it...change it...

  • Hey mick long time watcher here. I wanna say i really enjoy your videos and your teaching technique. It has helped me a lot over the 3 years i've been playing. I was wonderin if you could break the banjo roll down in this video. I would appreciate it.

  • YOU MAKE IT LOOK SO EASY!!!!!!! aHHHH!! I love Ricky Skaggs!!!

  • Nice playing my friend!

  • have you posted designated drinker?

    Thanks Tory

  • Hah! I thought middle bit sounded familiar, and now that I read your intro I think I know why! :) Just last night I was watching Bruce Bouton's "Learn to play pedal steel guitar" and I remember him talking about that very lick. The "dedjouitntitndididadioutnt..." bit, that he said is a very versatile lick :)

Actually, at this point Bruce Bouton and Mickey Adams has taught me everythiing I know about how to play that instrument (not much, I know, but I'm still not dead! :)

  • One word...SWEET!

  • Wasn't it Alan Jackson who sang, "Ain't nothin like a steel guitar to drown a memory" or something like that? You are a great teacher and a great player. I only play regular guitar, but this sound from the steel is so critical to true country music. And I LOVE Highway 40 Blues! (I found your videos linked to Merle doing Big City.)
