@SummerGameProject Thanks for your comment. Yes, I thought about it, to use a servo. 2nd idea was to use 2 IR proximity sensors on each side to detect obstacles not seen by the ultrasonic sensor.
Excellent work! One suggestion of improvement, create a vertical base for the ultrasonic range finder to rest on - with a 180* servo so it can "scout" it's surroundings - and determine the correct path of travel. I saw your bot on LMR. Thanks for sharing with the community.
