Baudline on my composition

audio was done with LADSPA, JACK, LMMS, Ardour2, and Audacity. It was then played with baudline. I used vncrec to get the .vnc file - put it to xpm, then used ImageMagick to convert it to jpg. Mencoder provided the initial encoding to the mpeg4 and then ffmpeg did a copy with a copy of the mp3 to overlay the initial video. Here is the output.

LADSPA is like VST for linux

Their are a number of effects "plugins" available

JACK is like a plug-board: You can "pipe" audio from one application to another.

LMMS is an audio authoring tool.

Ardour2 is a mastering tool, something like ProTools.

Audacity is great for sampling and making samples - and that is about it.

Baudline is a spectrograph software.

vncrec will do the screen captures

xpm is an image format.

mencoder will make movies from images, but not XPM.

ImageMagick converts the XPM's to JPGs.

Then mencoder mf://\*.jpg is used to make the .mpg.

Now you have a silent mpeg file. FFMPEG can take multiple inputs and make a single output. I use the mpg file there and the mp3 that I made beforehand and then output the video with the sound.

Then I uploaded it on youtube.

I do know Audacity. I use that program too. The rest of that, I just...forgot! Yeah, that's it!
