Khalil Fong singing "Ai Ai Ai" at "The Wall"

This is my first time using the annotations on YouTube to make English subs. The translation for this song and some other songs from Khalil's "This Love" album are here:

http://chinesemusicblog.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=59973#p59973

If you wish to use this translation or any other, please remember to credit the translator! It takes a lot of work to come up with a good translation. I did this translation personally. I think I will be doing more of this in the future. Please comment and rate this video!

I noticed just now that one of the lines gets stuck and the other lines after that kind of cover it up. I tried fixing it, but Firefox is being uncooperative right now and keeps freezing up when I try editing the annotations, so I'm afraid it'll stay that way for a while. Sorry!

  • the lyrics really strange....

not reallyt understand what he is going to say?

  • ur reply really strange...

It's really simple. This is a love song, and he is singing about how loving is something that makes us human, how different people all react differently to love.

  • hey wt a nice song. his style is really awesome.

but there is another way of translation of the final one came to my mind "wo ai gu wo jai, i love because i exist". i think wt Khalil wants to express in the song is "I love therefore i am". i think he wants to quote the phrase "i think therefore i am" from western philosophy.

its just my opinion. wt do u think?

  • Yes, something like that. I translated this a while back, but I think that's how I would translate that line if I were to go back over it.

  • "I love therefore I exist"

  • No, more like, "I love therefore I am." Firefox hates me right now, so I can't change it at the moment.

  • HAHAHAHAHHA He's so cute (:

  • 好可愛!!!!!!!!!! 3

  • Thank you for posting this translation. I used this clip to learn the song! I just got to see 方大同 Khalil Fong in Taipei not to long ago. HIs backup band was strikingly similar to the setup for the Stevie Wonder show I just saw, and is very very tight (especially the bass player). He's really been moving up the ranks with who he plays with lately and it's great to see since he's such an awesome musician and songwriter! Such beautiful lyrics, thanks for sharing the translation.

  • @samsonteacher ah thx,i thought it was the blank on the mic. either way, wat a qualitied musician he is.

  • @iceclay

Apparently because the band and Khalil's timing was not so synchronized, so he decided to stop to do it again.

  • he's soo amazing

  • he restarted at the chorus cuz of the mic right?

  • @reweidg erm english translations cannot interpret what the chinese lyrics is all about. no where near. haha~ its kinda poetic.

  • thank you for the subbs
