Another in the get-well package from Allan - thanks again! Some St. Bruno that surprised me by not being as Condor-like as expected.

  • I love St Brunno

  • The flake is better. Tastes wonderful with some nice weed in the bowl too!

    Merry xmas :-)

  • We received an ounce from one of our friends. I thought it was tasty. Thanks for your coments on Condor. Jay

  • Hello Tom

I was fortunate to try some St. Bruno, certainly has that Lakelands floral taste. I could take it or leave it myself.

Great video, classic setting is nice.

    Regards

    Mark

  • Interesting first take on this tobaco. I think to give St. Bruno RR a fair chance you'll probably need to smoke it in a pipe which you use regularly and really enjoy smoking. I'm not sure I really understand this 'ghosting' fear. If you really need to remove all traces of this fine tobacco a pipe cleaner and a pipe cure should do the trick. I'd also recommend trying the flake version which you may like more (as I do) - but again - I implore you to smoke it in a favoured pipe!

    Best wishes,

    Paul

  • Have not tried the St. Bruno yet, but it sure does look good.

  • I think it is lavender in St Bruno. Bergamot is what the Danes put in Orlik Golden Sliced and many other Virginias of that citrus type. Cheers.

  • I've tried the flake version of St. Bruno and really liked it. I was expecting that "lakeland" essence and found its really not there at all. More tangy fermented va's. I do like the flake version. Had Condor the other week and wow! That was the total end of the spectrum and very much over the top. One bowl and I can tell its going to be an acquired taste lol. Ghosted the pipe pretty bad. So no more lakelands until I get a couple of cobs.

    Cheers,

    James

  • St Bruno..comes with built-in kindling! hahaha I agree a green Bic AND A 1960's pipe just dont match. Lighters have their use tho not arguing that. PBR....I'll skip that baccy. Already back to work! Dang Tom, that is a site. Your homestead I mean. Take care

  • I love PBR... Maybe that's why I love Orlik Golden Slice and MV-1000.

    Beautiful property there!
