  • Did you not read Ionescos stage directions in the beginning of the play? He clearly states that the student must be monotone and so out of it that by the end of the play, she doesn't react much to the final act. She is meant to be a weak puppet in the hands of the professor. The way this was done is exactly the opposite of what Eugene Ionesco intended. Sorry, but making the stabbing scene overly dramatic makes it almost funny and very awkward for an audience to watch. That's just my opinion

  • yea this scene completely misses the mark. the stage directions were clearly ignored. this is just kind of a parody of bad slasher films. very poor.
