Sesame Street - Aliens meet the Clock

The clock rang a bit too early. It rang at 8:59, not 9:00 like it should have. :P

Once upon a time, someone thought to themselves, "Gee... how can I scare the crap out of a bunch of 3-year-old kids on TV and get away with it? I know!" Then the Sesame Street aliens were born... :)

The Yip Yips were the first thing that ever scared me on t.v. as a kid...I had to leave the room when they came on and my grandparents would tell me when they were over so I could come back...

They were creepy because of the way they move and their long tenticles shake. When we went through the carwash, I thought the drapey cleaners looked like them.

Then one day as a child, I watched them when I was sick with a high fever and I think I got over my fear, thanks to my altered state.

Maybe the pink dude but the blue dude is definitely Henson, who was American.
