Prince of Africa: Sankara

Thomas Sankara was a gem in Africa back in the 80's. Charisma, organization and youth. Something that was lacking and is still lacking.
He was assasinated in a coup by his friend Campoare, current leader.

People should rejoice that he died so early in his career. I am African and knowing African leaders, I'm afraid he would have been tempted to hang on to power. We would be hearing of him this day today! This way, we have a hero instead of the Nyereres, Musevenis, Mugabes, Kagames all of whom, by the way started off their careers as shiny as Sankara's. That's the african curse.

thats whats up....R.I.P to them and to great leaders like Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana, Sekou Toure, Julius Nyerere, Steve Biko, and all others who worked so hard for Africa´s unity...an idea which they mooted to rescue our continent from the grip of those who come as friends, but are real enemies..

We know how those who stood for Africa´s sovereignty died..History has it recorded for the yet unborn..

Sankara is the Toussaint L'ouverture of my land......Toussaint was a prince from Africa.....he came here and he showed us the way...Sankara was my hero...i still have so much hatred in my heart for his assassinator...Lord forgive me.......we black people we need to let our best live life...Sankara.......you inspire me....the world will hear your voice through me in Haiti....im going back......and my name will be Sankara there
