Gets colder, ingassing actually increases over outgassing.

If the water heats, outgassing passes ingassing.

Oceanic ingassing and outgassing are PART of the carbon cycle. They are THE carbon cycle.

Stable climates support lifeforms. When climates change too quickly, extinctions happen. That is a basic, well established scientific precept, and really what the climate change boils down to.
