Any public places that promote violent acts against another cultures, it is necessary to build something separate for people to protect them until us Americans can find a solution or until things change for gay acceptance inside society we must find ways to be merciful to all Americans. Good idea to have a separate school for gays so people won't get hurt. All Americans have the right to be protected under the law.

Wow the present situation of america really is scaring me. The fact that people are even declaring that they are gay and then being accepted by huge masses of people (liberals) is really sad. I understand that Liberals, Conservatives, and people with independant views have and always will have their differences. But this is an issue that everyone should agree on. Homosexuality is wrong, sickening, its against the natural process of life, and it should never be accepted by americans.

18 isn't some magic number where you instantly become enlightened overnight.

I am a gay man, and I find this school to be very bad idea. Rather than creating an exclusive club of a school, the severity of the punishment in all schools should be greater. Negative reinforcement is a very strong teaching tool, for some reason people have forgotten that if you give a strong enough negative consequence for an action, unless the subject is too stupid to realize they need to stop, they will stop

This school is a good idea, and as you say, it will be considered a "gay high school", but there will be straight kids there.

Let me ask you though, what do you think the straight kids will think? They will get picked on by outside kids for going to a gay school. In turn, the straight kids will take on the role of the gay kids, just not at school.

Don't get me wrong. I fully support this idea, but I still have to wonder about the mentality of the straight kids at this school.

myself become a victim. Many people saw that I just flat out didn't react to them, so they stopped bothering me.

I walk down the halls of my school (which is in TN) holding my boyfriend's hand. Of course we get the "FAGS!" "QUEERS!" and the such, but who cares? They are words.

No one has approached me physically...yet, but I think I'm an exception to this because I have a reputation for being a good fighter. I have never been in a fight though. I honestly think it's because I took Karate.

The only problem with this is people will come out and say "Why can't we have a straight school?"

I'm not saying that they are right. That is just a comment I am almost positive will come up.

I am one of those gay high school students. I'm also always the "new kid". I've been openly gay since I found out I was gay, and honestly, I have had some problems from students and teachers. Being the new kid doesn't help that either.
