Baby peach and apricot tree's coming up through the snow. I planted several hundred more apricot and peach seeds this past year. No way of telling how many will come up and survive the first year.

This is the driest New Mexico-Arizona winter I've seen in over 25 years. The so called one hour winter storm ie Blizzard the News called it, is the only moisture Southern New Mexico has had. A day or two in January was winter. Now the entire Southwest is Forest Fires. Weather across North America is ALL or NOTHING. All rain or all drought, All Flood, or all Tornado. Weather patterns and balance seems to be totally missing.

Not sure I said I was glad to post Ice and Temps 20 below zero, and broken water pipes...??? Not so usual for Silver City. And you are right, every location has its trade/offs. Grass is always greener some place else. So appreciate your, and my, desire to BE some place else. Its where creative writing, poetry, street dancing all comes from. I posted this because people on my Street were in awe of the 4ft ice hanging off my roof. Go figure that one out....? Which is why I posted this video.
