  • LOL.

"hmm, right, let's just pop it into reverse here, go around like that, hmm, err.. oh bugger."

  • haha funny.probably what he must of thought.

  • Armours!! please tell us why he had to reverse there!! as for reversing with passengers, was that not where everyone got off the bus anyway hence it was empty??

  • no its not where its meant to stop as is meant to go round a circular route thereby going down that hill and turning left where terminus is at the bottom of the road.

  • bus drivers r not allowed to reverse busses on public roads without a backsman (who can b a member of public) and if your driving the same routes everyday wouldnt you want a change? lol, Mistakes are easy to make especially if youve been up since 4 in the morning driving round in circles i should know im a bus driver

  • Duh, I went duh wong way..... ~~~

  • @mazeteam idiot

  • @cathkinghost Yeah but it makes no difference if you're in service with passengers on board or not with that. Do you ever see truck drivers throwing around this silly rule? Thought not. Besides, we'd have to carry around a backsman every journey if it was actually a valid rule when the route involves reversing, and it just doesn't happen. The company would either provide one or alter the route accordingly to avoid it which is not always possible.

  • @ediblechickenwing Just to add (ran out of space), I'm not suggesting it's a good idea to do this, just that there's no evidence to my knowledge or anyone else's I've come across that there is a law prohibiting it other than reversing out onto a main road.

  • @cathkinghost You're not exactly reversing blind, the only blind spot is directly behind the bus. There's no evidence to suggest there was ever a law in the first place, people learning to drive buses years ago were told this but I've yet to come across someone who's seen it in writing. Besides, it was likely to be because of rear platform entrances in those days, danger to people stepping on/off. Might not be recommended but there's yet to be an enforceable law. Could be company policy though.

  • @cathkinghost So let me ask you this, why do so many routes involve reversing with nobody to watch their back? Sometimes mid route with passengers on board. I looked this up a while ago, it is in fact no longer standing. Some drivers however still stick to it, either preferring to or just not knowing any different.

  • u say its illegal to reverse with people on try route M3 bedford to biggelswade [ in bedfordshire] route M3 goes along engayne avenue at end reverses into culdesac and comes back has done for 11 years that i know off . stagecoach route

  • I did do well!!

  • who filmed this? a bus driver or another i can do better passenger?

  • That no reversing rule was scrapped years ago...
