early thoughts on an ultra light ultra aerodynamic 2 or 2+2 seater electric car.
Fiber glass tub chassis with foam core sandwich floor and sides. trailing arm one sided motor cycle style suspension on rear wheels with fixed gear chain drive, electric motor for each rear wheel. front double wishbone with small unventilated disc brakes. possibly airless wheels, ultra light carbon with layer of rubber on to save weight, complexity and reduce vulnerability.
maybe foam rubber or air bladder filled nose for ideal collision characteristics.
target weight around 400kg. target consumption 60Wh/km.
target aerodrag 3x better than Smart Fortwo.
