As you saw in my other video of the Sebring, it kept stalling and the check engine light FINALLY came on a few weeks ago out of no where stating a Cam sensor malfunction occured. Tonight the car didnt want to move again, kept stalling. I replaced it with a new one, a relatively easy job, especially if you remove the upper radiator hose (if you can get those damn clamps off that is). The part cost $50, and 20 min of my time.

  • Hey my sebring is doing the same thing. All the lights turned off and the car just died. Then it came back to life. Before this happen my lights and radio would turn off for a split 2nd. Can it be the fuel pump? Its a sebring 1999 lxi.

  • @stephyl2010 Doesn't sound like a fuel pump, something going on in the electrical.

  • not to insult you but chevy uses the same stupid clips not just mopar i was a fleet mechanic for chevy and ford trucks and they all com with them from factory so its not just chrysler so you know

  • @Mdwagner88 I think everyone uses these things now, this is just the first time I ran into these. Probably being this is the newest car I own.

  • My 2002 Sebring has been almost stalling out randomly at stops. It'll idle fine then when I get on the gas it feels like it wants to stall until I give it a lot of gas. Also sometimes it'll not start up until I give it a lot of gas. Do you think this is a related problem?

  • @afp5013 Is it throwing a check engine light? Could be this sensor or a bunch of others, maybe even a fuel pump.

  • How long did this take to replace and what tools do I need. I already had it replaced once and now it's doing it again, I'm doing it myself this time.

  • Just wanted to day thanks man your video saved me time and money problem solved man

  • @301807137 I had a similar problem and ended up finding 3 broken wires in the boot of the drivers door jamb from door to body. I had to restrip, solder and shrink tube the 3 wires. If your windows only work from the master control switch it could also be a fault in the master control switch such as the window lock switch. Normally if that is pressed, the windows will not work from the remote switches.

  • hi 2005 chysler sebring 2.4liter of timing how to get right timing, r this car have camshft sensor? please help

  • @afp5013 that just happened to me. at stops/red lights my car would idle obviously and eventually just shut down. my mechanic changed my Idle Air Flow sensor. so far so good. i also got my camshaft replace bc my car would make a chirping sound

  • @Jaso0n1986 I think they (Chrysler and other auto manufacturers) use these types of "compression clamps" for the sake of speed and ease of assembly. Rather than using a traditional hose clamp that requires adjusment and tightening, a clamp that simply opens up and drops it to place eliminates the need for further handling. I would surmise this is important where the manufacturing process of a car is timed down to the second.
