This is a class project completed by an 11th grader.
As a high school English teacher, I assigned a mini-project for which my students were asked to select a "teachable moment" from one of the books that our class was reading.
Each student needed to select a turning point in his or her chosen book, and then come up with a novel way to teach the "moment" to the class.
Kids created posters, skits, and powerpoints to share these main ideas with the class.
This student chose an important turning point from Ken Kesey's One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
The whole class was blown away by Meg's presentation!
bromden eventually uses that strength to escape the asylum, so in a way mcmurphy did help him. plus there is the shower scene where mcmurphy fights the black boys for nothing other then to help friends. this isn't really a fair storytelling.
