Perentie monitor is not the second largest monitor they are the fourth its komodo , croc monitor , water monitor then the parentie also like others said thats a burmese python not a retic

Just one correction: the tuatara is not a lizard, it's in an order of its own. Reptiles are made up of 4 extant orders: Chelonia (turtles and tortoises), Crocodylia (crocs and gators), Squamata (snakes and lizards) and Sphenodontia (or Rhyncocephalia: only the two species of tuataras)... So... tuataras are as much lizards as they are turtles or crocs...

Yes, Alex but many non-herp subcribers have trouble with basic taxonomy, so I just left it as a lizard. Just like the more vipers are in a taxon of their own, bet to leave some of the finer point out of the conversation.
