HK 450 on revised floats in a much bigger pond....kinda cool flying over water the entire time

  • Very cool - did you measure the all up weight ? just curious. I have been flying mine over water without floats and keeping my fingers crossed (which is hard to do when flying :) )

  • @Towerheli no I didn't weigh it....but the floats are "pool noodles" and are very light as was the frame for them (1/8" fiberglass rods). The floats help out tremendously for orientation as well as the "not so soft " landings on hard surfaces.

  • one thing you don't want to do is put it in idle up and forget and land on water and then pull the throttle back.......................... plop!!!! (hey where did it go??) lol:)

  • Pretty good flying :) I'm just waiting for my HK450 kit to arrive, before I pull apart one of my Honeybee King 2's for the parts. Also got a Blade MSR on order :)
