Part III in my lecture series titled "Moving Up To Class E (rated 1000-1199): Anyone Can Do It". Here, we discuss center control, development, pawn weaknesses, and introduce tactics. This should get you rated above 500.

  • do you have any videos to raise your rating to around 1500?

  • @druglover200 I haven't made new videos in awhile. I think the lectures stop somewhere around 1000. To push for 1500, I would recommend reading Silman's "The Amateur Mind" and doing tons of tactic puzzles.

  • Uh-huh. I don't get how moving the bishop to C5 saves the queen on G3.

  • ...Bc5 threatens ...Qf2# if white tries to continue with Ne2 before playing d4
