That's funny I was bowling a 205-210 average fifteen years ago using a zone ball and not two handed, but never used my thumb hole. It definitely generates far more spin. I thought I was weird for playing that way but now that some pros are doing it, maybe I wasn't so weird.

I'll pass from the traditional one hand of the old school game. And the key is "started when he was a little child and hasn't grown out of it". I'm wondering what that ends up doing to a persons' shoulder who hasn't started bowling like that at a young age an carried it forward?

@iStyleProduction it was at an event at Disney World I believe.

@80gerardtan Nope, I've been bowling normal for a while, and I'm just getting into 2 handed style, not that hard with practice. Also doing Back Up which i find is easier than 2 hand at the moment.

I bowl two handed also. I have been in a bowling camp for the weekend and the coachs and bowlers for the college team freaked out because I can throw a two-handed ball. I was given the nickname Belmo because apparently I can throw it like Jason Belmonte...... I'm a girl.... and I'm only 15..... How does that work out? JASON BELMONTE IS AMAZING!!!!!!

There are a few bowlers on the PBA that throw the traditional way that come pretty close to this amount of power. Tommy Jones is a good example. Sean Rash, Mike Fagon, Kenny Simard, all no strangers to power and revs. The only bowler I know who can get the same amount of revs as a 2 hander throwing the traditional way is Robert Smith.
Why the hell is a professor of Astronomy talking about angles and pin action?

the one secret that belmo hasnt really told anyone that is the key to speed with two hands is what is in the second link. the skip step at the top of the swing gives most of the speed
