Cross dressing Japanese men (Zohkos): New Japanese Fashion trend

Japanese mens are increasingly becoming fan of girly looks and feminist looks.
They are known as cross dressers or simply known as Zohkos (女裝子: 여장 남자) or Transgender men who wanted to look like lady. This trend is becoming popular among young Japanese men today.
One of Wasae University male student said, he only started cross dressing from pure fascination but after hearing he being looking pretty he's now putting makeup and wear female clothing for frequently.
He even attended class room with full woman's outfits and now out of growing fascination and interest/hobby, many of these men now formed and joined Cross-dresser's club. According to Cross-dressing study group said main reason why so many young Japanese men are into this weird sensation is because they likes hearing the word "pretty" when they attend social meetings.

일본 '초식남은 가라' 당당한 '여장남자' 열풍!

지금 일본에서는 나름대로 이유를 가지고 여장을 하는 남성, 이른바 죠소코(女裝子: 여장 남자)들이 늘어나고 있다.

"패션이라고 생각하고 한번 해 봤더니 예쁘다는(말을 들었어요)" 여장으로 자신의 인생이 변화했다고 하는 이 남성은 일본 명문 와세다 대학생이다. 화장 연구에 심취해 더 나은 화장술을 습득하기 위해 매일 정진하고 있다고 한다.

"여장을 하고 수업에 나간 적도 있어요" 와세다대학 여장연구회 회원들은 여장을 하는 취미가 발전해 동아리마저 만들었다고 한다.

여장연구회 회장인 카치카와 씨는 "여장을 하고 여자친구들을 만나면 재미있다거나 예쁘다거나 하는 칭찬을 들어 즐겁다" 라며 그들만의 친목 모임을 자랑했다.
