This animation shows the movements and actual positions of the Sun, Moon and planets within the zodiac and ecliptic for August 2009 in 1-hour time-intervals. Time is in Universal Time (UT). Zodiac and ecliptic is geocentric. Please watch the introduction animation (separately available here) first for explanations of the symbols and more. This animation can be used as an ephemeris, just click on pause to read the current positions of all objects. Created by German astrologer and astronomy specialist Robert von Heeren.
