Sebastian Stanley, a young English pianist of Spanish origin, was born in La Linea in 1984 and moved to Great Britain aged 4. He had his first piano lesson later on in life than usual, aged 13. In 2008 Sebastian graduated with Distinction from the Royal College of Music, and was awarded an Advanced PGDip after 2 years study as a full scholar. Sebastian's tutors have included many international pianists of note, namely Niel Immelman, Ruth Nye and most recently the renowned teacher and competition adjudicator Christopher Elton.

Since graduating, Sebastian's career has gone from strength to strength with his performances receiving much critical acclaim. He has been described as 'a rare talent', having 'exquisitely sensitive playing' and showing 'astounding virtuosity' by numerous papers.

Sebastian has given recitals in the USA, Germany and in over 100 venues all over the UK as a soloist. He also regularly performs classical recitals on some of Britain's top cruise liners in all reaches of the globe. His concerto repertoire includes works by Liszt, Rachmaninov, Beethoven, Grieg, Mozart and Lambert.

Winner of several international prizes including the coveted Chappell Medal at the RCM (Top award at the conservatoire for piano playing) and 1st Prize in the International Louise Henriette competition in Germany, Sebastian is making an impact on the competition circuit. He has received master class tuition from piano legends such as Claude Frank (pupil of Artur Schnabel), Gary Graffman, Olga Kern, John Lill, Joanna MacGreggor and Stephen Kovacevich.

Sebastian has broadcast on BBC Radio 3, Celtic Music Radio, and has just been signed by the label EMEC Discos for a 4-disc contract of Spanish Classical Piano Music.
