@bosasosolja and in the battle of badr, when the battle was over, he saw his previous owner and his two sons, all 3 who had tortured him for over 10 years and made his back look like mountain with deep caves.so when he saw Umayyatu-ibnu khalf and his 2 sons, he said "UMAYYAH?!" wallaahi, i will not live if he lives, and he will not live if i live, so he handcaffed Umayyah and his 2 sons and put them on their knees, and sent their tyranical heads flying with his own sword and hands.

great muhadharat barak allahu feehi. However the scholars of the sunnah diasagree on Bilal's origins and none of them said he was from habasha. it is confirmed that his mother was foriegn but bilal himself was brought up in the hijaaz.
