My Wiimote "Smartboard"

Using Johnny Lee's software for making a Wiiboard, I was able to construct my own little smartboard.

Here's the list of materials for the pen:
1.5V N size battery
N size battery holder
SPST submini switch (I wanted a button but couldnt find one)
1.2-1.5V infrared LED

The project was a lot of fun and pretty easy if you are a little computer savvy.

Yeah, Screw you Mayfield and your 3000 dollar smartboards. Mines 10 bucks (excluding wiimote)

were do you get the software ??and is all you need to buy a bluetooth and connect it to the wii remote than make the infared pen and thats its

just a thought but mounting a switch directly behind the led would give you a click (closed circuit) every time the led makes contact with a surface.
