From the Foundation for Worldwide People Power (FWWPP), creator of critically-acclaimed documentaries "Batas Militar" and "Beyond Conspiracy: 25 Years after the Aquino Assassination," features another compelling and well-made documentary about the history of People Power in the Philippines.

To commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution, NATv is privileged to share with you "LAKAS SAMBAYANAN: People Power," which was actually produced back in 2002.

Produced and directed by the award-winning documentarist, Butch Nolasco; written by another award-winner, Jose Pete Lacaba, and narrated by the multi-awarded actor, Cesar Montano.

  • Thanks for the upload.

I was in Edsa 2. It was really good being there.

  • Always a pleasure sharing this video. ;-)

  • just wondering, kailan ginawa ang itong documentary ng People Power. I realized ang background music in part 3 at 6:18 galing sa "Band of Brothers", when american soldiers discovered a concentration camp inside Germany, in the episode "Why We Fight"

  • This documentary was made in 2002 for the 16th anniversary of the first EDSA People Power.

  • what if ninoy became our president?

  • We can only speculate at this point.

We think that if martial law wasn't declared and he won the 1973 elections, Ninoy would've tried his best to turn things around, where Ferdinand and Imelda would be held liable and prosecuted for all the atrocities that they did. He would've reached out to the so-called "enemies of the state" (CPP/NPA and MNLF) and negotiate with them through peace talks so they can finally express their sentiments (Marcos would rather see them dead!).

    Oh well...

Read my lips Makoy loyalists: Marcos SUCKS!!!
