  • Hey I am starting off djing, what would you recommend as a beginner kit? I know I'm going to get the Sennheiser hd205 for my birthday, is it true, at the start they hurt like hell?

  • yes its true, the hd205 is tight. I wouldn't wear them for extended periods of time. only during djing where i take it on and off all the time.

i recommend that you start with software dj systems like traktor, virtual dj and etc. then if you like what you're doing then go ahead with the gears. cause investing is gears is a biggg step!

  • The cd-player is cool, i have one myself. The Behringer mixer and effectmachine could be better =)

  • agreed.. now i have changed my mixer to a behringer ddm4000! XD

  • cmx 3000 is very good for schratching

  • i dont think so...

in fact the cmx is horrible at scratching.

  • The pioneer CMX3000 are a wicked bit of kit they far surpass any other dual cd deck with the exception of the MEP7000 the cmx3000 were the first cd decks i had, loved them but the CDJ2000 are truely the best by far,to complement your cmx3000's i would ditch the Behringer kit i suppose they are good for entry level but if you are realy serious then maybe try to save for a matching pioneer mixer or an Allen & Heath along with a pioneer effects module you will notice the difference instantly.

  • dont know your gear very well

  • woo..nice gears..

  • I agree, It is a great piece of kit, but it sucks for scratching. spin backs are fine but don't think you are going to pull off any tricks with this deck.

  • ha ha son of spock
