I suggest you bring 2x Lg Barrel Bombs, and 1x Pitfall Trap

Why not Flash Bomb(s)? Because all he does is usually roar like Basarios.
I also suggest you use either a SnS/Lance/Hammer. Your attacks will bounce if you're using a GS and are not attacking the stomach.

Let's get started with our 5*'s!

Grab whatever supplies you feel are necessary within the Supply Box, and make your way to area 4.

Once you've entered area 4, you'll get a little cutscene of our rocky friend rising from the lava. He resembles Basarios doesn't he? Or does Basarios resemble him? Either way, let's get down to business!

Whoa whoa whoa, where in the world is he going? He's leaving! Don't let him escape, chase after him and nail him with a Paintball and make sure he notices you, he almost got away on me.. lol

One thing I'd let to say about Gravios is that his attacks are alot like Basarios, so if you're decent at fighting him, I'm sure you'll be fine on fighting Gravios.

Although, Gravios has this beam attack(Basarios has it too, but rarely uses it), that will pretty much kill you if hit, so be sure to evade it (I barely got away at 7:00)

The reason why I'm wearing Sleep Negated armor is because Gravios, like Basarios can willingly emit a Gas, attack. Except his is Sleep. Gravios can also emit a Fire Gas, in which damages you and cannot be blocked normally.

Usually when he uses the beam, that's your chance to get your free hits right? Well, sometimes he can unleash this Fire Gas directly after, meant for countering your attacks, so becareful where you choose to attack. If you're using a SnS, you can always attack his wings while he's using the beam, that should be a nice safe spot to aim for.

Be precise with your timing on when to heal/sharpen, otherwise you may find yourself burnt to a crisp because of that beam attack.

His tail can be removed as well, I actually suggest you remove it, that way his range on his tail swings is drastically reduced. I suggest attacking it while he's using the Sleep Gas or Fire Gas attack (Thanks MinorVaginor for reminding me to add this in the description, as well as calling me a nub ): )

Things you'll want to earn from Gravios: Lg Monster Bones, Lg Bone Husks, Flame Sacs, and Sleep Sacs.

Moises makes all these guys look so ez...i would never dare sharpen when he did...im on this quest right now...using garuga set (non-glitched) + ioprey helm and PBA...trying to get thundertip and djinn+ but los giving me trouble...ian is so much easier for me...can the guild 3* give rathalos plate? whens the earliest i can find some rath plates? im just gonna hornet bladefin -> marrow for the rest of it
