He played the other night,only because the Wings had no other option.Their goalies are dropping like flies.He didn't fair so good.He needs at least 2-3 years in the AHL first.

Luckily, none of us are Wings GMs, AGMs, and DPDs. I have more faith and trust in the Wings' braintrust to know exactly what they are doing than youtubers.
When Tommy's ready as deemed ready by the Wings, he's ready.

the wings desperately need a new goalie, i dont want to handle the roller coaster ride of osgood and howard all season, i would love to see them trade for a new goalie but i think they're gonna wait for mccollum to be ready then have a young all-star goalie which is the only thing they need, and in the meantime i could see howard and larsson split the season in the nhl next year like they did in grand rapids, mccollum is gonna be amazing because he plays like the best goalie ever to play...hasek

Because of his age, he can only play in the NHL or OHL next year. Most likely with the Guelph Storm next year. The following year, he will likely play in Grand Rapids. I have watched him play for the past 2 seasons and I can tell you that he has the best positioning of any goalie in the OHL. He also has the ability to steal games on his own when he is hot.
My prediction, you will be hearing a lot of Thomas McCollum in Detroit for many years to come. I also hear that he is a great kid.
