Daily wifi matches, part 105/ TB1 vs MiTi vs Casey B vs arshe [items] (1/1)

Played on August 7th, this GP was featuring some great racers; it was actually played on friends mode as a warm up before the start of a Japanese tournament. I had been asked to record this tourney, so I thought I would set my cam correctly with this GP.
By the way, as you may have noticed if you read that, I will try to comment my next videos from now on xD

Choco Mountain : The first race of this GP was one that I really like, RCM; however, it started quite badly for me with a double missed mt during the first seconds... Not enough to make me lose the lead though ! The first lap was decent, with two items laid on the end bumps, which would most likely make the jump harder for the last two laps... Arshe's lightning didn't have a real impact on the race, apart from allowing him to come back. The wall at 1:33 was intentionnal; as a matter of fact, I had seen someone getting a blue shell on my bottom screen, and I first thought I could let Casey pass me and avoid getting hit; however, I didn't know that he would get hit by a red shell, and as you can guess the damned blue shell got me =( I could have BSDed if I had been a tiny bit more ahead, with that little uphill section, but I guess I didn't calculate that well enough. At the next item boxes, I knew luck was not over yet, so I tried to pass them as 4th in order to get a good item, and it looks like it worked since I got a lightning xD Then last lap was just a no risk one, for a win on one of my favorite wifi tracks =P

Baby Park : Let's say it could have been a better race than RBP -__- I only had a three-point lead on Casey then, so I knew the match could still turn his way... Basically, you've got two options there : either you try to go ahead and hope that your opponents will kill each other, or you stay 4th and pray for a good item; I chose the former here, but a red shell allowed Way to pass me. I got one afterwards, but Way dodged it with a banana, and yes, it was a bomb almost killing me at 3:37 xD Way played extremely well overall, using his faked boxes and bananas in a skilled way; unfortunately for him, a blue shell would allow Casey and me to try to grab the win too. In the end, I was the luckiest at the last item boxes, with another red shell allowing me to pass Way and win this second race ! With a nine-point lead on both Casey and Way, I was then pretty confident...

Yoshi Falls : I am not playing very well on YF these days, so I was not so confident when I started the race... After a decent first lap, I unfortunately mted too slowly at 4:35, and then it was a 3-way with Casey and Way; I missed another mt at 4:58, which made it become very tricky for me to win. Then, the last-minute lightning of arshe would annihilate my last hopes of grabbing the win; everything would be played on the last track...

Cheep Cheep Beach : Basically, I had to keep my three-point lead over Casey to win, which seemed possible on this track, even more after he missed prb first lap. I was then fighting with Way for the 1st position; hopefully, arshe's blue shell at 6:06 didn't change anything, since Casey was still behind. But then, Way used his banana very well on the zipper and the race became close again; after thinking it over a bit more, I suppose I should have went right of this zipper, since I master this strat too... My green shell at 6:28 helped me pass Casey again, but a red shell right before zipper last lap changed it all again. In the end, everything was played in a duel between me and Casey last turnings, and hopefully for me I could win on the line, and thus win the GP too !

Final score :

1) TB1 - 31 pts
2) Way - 28 pts
3) Casey - 25 pts
4) arshe - 4 pts
