@Zillerz3 so is the gtx 470 worth upgradeing that far? i know it is a new chip and they have it for $279 at newegg but i guess what im asking is would you rather get this new card or perhaps recommend dual sli with 9800gtx or doing two 260's? and i already have two 9800gtx's and one older 9800gtx. im going to try out the dual 9800gtx when i get the new crosshair 4 Extreme.

i got the GTX 470 by EVGA
used the step-up. went from 9800GTX+ to GTX470
when i was at the post center to send out my graphics card i forgot to add protection to the box!! i wasl ike oh shit when i found out when i got home. hopefully it didnt arrive damaged i really wish that it didn't.

Actually on the 65nm GTX 200's cards, the backplate is used to cool the vRAM on the backside of the GPU.

that backplate does not help for cooling man it keeps hot air insidde thus holding temps up :((

lol no, the backplate allows the heat to be spread, thus removing it from one central area.
