Resistance to anti-malaria drugs across Africa is growing. It's the number one killer in countries like Ethiopia and production of new drugs cannot keep up with demand.

Drugs like Coartem only work when all tablets are consumed. However, many patients stop taking them before they're cured. Forty percent of the population in Ethiopia have no access to basic healthcare. Malaria is devastating the rural economy. "We have shortage of drugs here", complains one doctor. The UN has launched the largest ever rollback programme. They aim to distribute millions of nets to stop the epidemics developing in the first place

  • I truly feel sad for some of the comments I see, humans are separated to much and scattered, having hate for one another is not a solution, nothing will change unless people stop acting as individuals and work together, talking about God help us, God already has endowed you with will. stand up!

  • Obama will not help you, you have to help yourself

  • @316JOHNLT

Indeed yes, JohnLT! I know-U have clear reason, too. The UN is & remains utterly USELESS to "the Nations" ~~ a phony front for the largest most ruthless & impregnable CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION the world has seen to date. Most people today fail to realize that its foremost & Orig.Dedicated Objective is to underwrite the smooth 'Installation' of the NWO; as is clearly evidenced by it's own Charter invoking, quite literally, the entire Body OF the Original New World Order Charter itself.

  • I feel so small after watching this documentary. We have so much here in the west and fail to realize the basic neccesity people lack in Afica. I pray for my people but most of all, I pray that God gives me the opportunity to help them.

  • @bilqiys1 Amen!

  • Ethiopia is such a beautiful country with natural beauty, ppl are stll suffering dying from hunger malnutrition & malaria. Just one nurse to service so many ppl, he tries, but has limited equipment & funds...May the creator bless him, why can't the government do more, sick ppl don't even have clean water/ basic health care the ppl are neglected by the UN...Where are the donations collected? why don't they have enough medicines, why are children dying...breaks my heart..corruption & failure.SAD

  • I Hate the UN.

  • @Leeshan82 @emekonen Local and international Human Rights offices are stuffed to the rafters with reports of ethnic cleansing by TPLF.There's no lack of evidence of the ethnically targetted terror wreaked by your ethnic supremacist party whose leader has publicaly confirmed he considers all others dirt except for the Golden few. Google Ethiopia, Human Rights.Ethiopia's been GIVEN lotsa money for healthcare.TPLF wants weak sick hungry Ethiopians so promotes incompetent corrupt MOH people

  • @Leeshan82 You see the problem with statments like that, is that you have to prove the intent that Zenawi used that with the intention of killing people of specific ethnicity. I have not heard one shred of evidence to support any of these accusations flying around all over the place towards Meles and Abouna Paulos. I dont agree with using DDT, but if nothing was done there would still be complaints. Its not like Ethiopia has all kinds of money to throw around either.

  • @tryanjohnson all money from this trade goes to pockets of very tight knit interelated members of the TPLF, a tiny ruling minority from a tiny region of Tigray. These corrupt clansmen live in the lap of luxury while Ethiopians experience ever decreasing levels of malnutrition. What is the point of drugs & hospitals when FIRST & FOREMOST THE PEOPLE ARE HUNGRY? If not for safety net programme food aid (that only sufficiently targets half the needy who share what they have) many would die.
