Samba de gafieira is a ballroom dance style from brazil, that was developed from african and european influences. It has argentinian Tango and cuban elements in it too. After more than 70 years, it is a independent form of art, very unique. Gafieira samba has developed in parallel with samba stories, mythologies, music. Search for it!

Hello, i just wanna say that this beautifull presentation is what they call "International Ballroom Samba", a type of european dance that was developed from Maxixe - a extinct type of african-brazilian culture - not from samba. All the things that happen in samba culture for the last 70 years are still a unexplored field for europeans. Its time to explore it! Look for samba de gafieira (Jimmy de oliveira) in internet. It would be great to have a real samba version of samba in europe!
