Bob Marley Reggae Roots (survival)

We no know how we and them
a go work this out
we no know how we and them
a go work it out

but someone will have to pay
for the innocent blood
that they shed every day
oh children mark my word
it's what the bible say yeah! yeah!

we no know how we and them
a go work this out
we no know how we and them
a go work it out

but in the beginning jah created evereything
giving man dominion over all things
but now it's to late, you see men have lost their faith
eating up all the flesh from off the earth

we no know how we and them
a go work this out
we no know how we and them
a go work it out

we no know how we and them
a go work it out
them a flesh and bone
we no know how we and them
a go work it out

but we now have no friends in a high society
we no have no friends, oh mark my identity
we no have no friends

we no know how we and them
a go work this out
we no know how we and them
a go work it out
we no know how we and them
a go work this out
we no know how we and them
a go work it out

  • Well, the way I see it, growing up poor and white in mainly black neighborhoods in the south and growing up with mainly black friends, we exist and realize our relations expand far beyond our eyes. Sometimes we choose to see what we want and the government is the only entity that is to gain from strain natural relations of a populace. Think about it. We get along too good and propaganda pulls us apart. Look street level and you see coexistence without effort. Friends and I are bonded by action.

  • Bob was not talking about white ppl .... He was not against white ppl (his father was white)... So who is this "them" he is taking about in the song?...IMO he is specking about Babylon which is the social order which criminalized and persecuted the rastaman in the caribbean... Growing up in Barbados i saw how the societies of the Caribbean treated them...

  • @LibertySlave Me, too, brother. You nailed it. They need to find ways to divide us. Otherwise, they're outnumbered, aren't they? Good Vs. Evil, they're really outnumbered, aren't they?

Peace to you, Brother. And your friends are mine, no matter the color. If they stand for peace, i have no quarrel with them, nor they with me.

It's the nasty liars, the rich politicians, the evil lying hair models we have to be vigilant of. Those are the scumbags. I vote we work it out in the streets.

  • Right on brother man.

  • @daffyz17 Bob was talking about political influences who were oppressing the people at the time and people who were discriminating against black poor people

  • someone will have to pay for the innocent blood that they shed everyday! sweet music
