Eva Braun Home Movies, part 1: Hitler, Nazis in color

Highlights (in 4 parts) taken from hours of footage from two sources. This includes the best footage of Hitler, Eva Braun, and all the high-ranking Nazis. All are identified below. Plus some narration and readings from Braun's diary.

(1:56) AH with magnifying glass - note how his hand shakes. Early signs of either Parkinson's or possible venereal disease.
(2:07) Eva with AH and his physician Dr. Morell on terrace
(3:24) AH and his dog, Blondi
(3:50) Eva, Mrs. Speer, and AH's cook picking irises
(4:47) Joseph Goebbels arrives at the Berghof
(5:20) AH in his tea house or Teehaus building near the Berghof
(5:57) AH with Heinrich Hoffmann, friend and official photographer. He introduced Eva to AH -- she was working for him at the time.

Note: As a student of history and WWII these films are edited and presented as a historical curio and a source of information. No one else that I know of has bothered to identify the people in these silent films as I have. This series is not intended to promote any political view or personal bias. It is simply a historical record captured on film. I am aware that the release of the Braun movies has upset some people as they appear to humanize Hitler. But I believe these films are useful in knocking Hitler down to size, reducing the monumental impersonal image we have of him to human scale.

Is the man at 4:22 General Friedrich Fromm?...I don't know but he certainly looks something like Fromm

@Joseph565112 -- A good guess as Fromm looks similar but doesn't have the big scar on his left cheek. Plus From was part of the July '44 plot to kill Hitler. The guy in the film seems like a close associate (only special guests and friends were invited to the Berghof).

I don't know how to feel about this. It's so insane to think that the worst man to come out of the 20th century was also a shitty painter who loved his dog. It really makes you think about good and evil in people I guess.

@lovefromeponine -- Hitler liked to be with animals and children because he had a paranoid mistrust of all adults (he had no close friends outside of Braun) and a general contempt for humanity as a whole. He is a classic example of a severely abused child who grows up believing in only brute force without compassion.

Eva Braun is portrayed as domb blonde!! Yet,she was a very clever woman!! After 2 suicide attempts; to get Hitler attention.She was received more in the inner circle.At first she was ridiculed but any attempts to down here were dismissed from the inner circle.i.e.angela ..hitlers half sister!towards the end when she was tired of hitlers endless monologues..she well yell thats enough or just give him a look and Hitler would quit!!Shw was perhsps the only 1 to oppose Hitler & get away with it!

@RebelGuy95 -- Gerland would have been about 35 (too young) at this time, had more hair and was far better looking than the heavy-set thug in the film. Must have been an important guy, possibly a Party official, but I can't find any photos of him.

@jlovebirch yeah, besides I'd think a general would typically be in uniform too, not a suit.
