It's Going To Be Okay - Season 2 Episode 25 Part 1 [4/5]

*The police enter the apartment a moment later and arrest Cody. They take statements from Nick and a very shaken up Demi, separately of course. Afterwards they collect evidence from Codys apartment detailing every part of Demis life for the past two to three years. The paramedics also had shown up to examine Demi. As a safety precaution, they took her to the hospital. They did a rape kit, for evidence against Cody, and an ultrasound to make sure that everything was okay. After the Doctor was finished, he allowed Nick to see Demi, while they were waiting for the others to show up*
Demi: (Silent)
Nick: Demi, Im so sorry.
Demi: (Forces a smile) For what? Saving my life?
Nick: No. For letting this happen to you.
Demi: (Shakes her head) There wasnt anything anyone could do.
Nick: Are you okay?
Demi: (Nods) I will be.
Nick: Why would Cody do this?
Demi: He wanted his daughter back.
Nick: But those babies are Joes.
Demi: I know that. And so did he. But he was set on stealing my daughter so that he could replace the one he made me lose.
Nick: (Sighs) Bastard.
Demi: (Beginning to cry) I was so scared.
Nick: (Takes her hand) I know.
Demi: I didnt know what he was going to do. He would probably have left me and my son to die. I tried so hard to make him let me go. But he just wouldnt.
Nick: Im sorry, Demi. I had no idea he would go this far.
Demi: (Crying) Me either.
Nick: Dem, was today the first time that he did that to you. I mean besides three years ago?
Demi: (Shakes her head, looking away)
Nick: How many times?
Demi: (Looking down)
Nick: Demi
Demi: (Looks at Nick) Every night.
Nick: Oh my god. Demi
Demi: (Shakes her head) Nothing anyone could do.
Nick: (Hugs her tight)
Demi: (Hugs back, crying into his shoulder, feeling the safest she has in the past three weeks)

*A moment later Selena, David, and Miley walked into the room. Nick pulled away from Demi, allowing Selena to rush over and giver her a hug*
Selena: Demi, Im so glad youre okay.
Miley: (Smiles) Us too, Dem.
David: Sorry to hear about what happened.
Demi: Thanks guys.
Miley: What did he do to you?
Nick: You dont want to know.
David: Not again.
Demi: (Still crying, she nods)
Selena: Is that all he wanted you for?
Demi: (Shakes her head)
Nick: Apparently he wanted his daughter back.
Miley: Thats sick.
Demi: Im here now, Im okay. Thanks to Nick.
Nick: It wasnt just me, Demi. David and Miley are the ones who got it out of him at the diner.
Demi: Well then, thanks to all of you.
Selena: So how are my little niece and nephew?
Demi: (Wipes her face, and stops crying) Theyre okay.
David: Thats good to hear
Miley: Now that that idiot is in jail, theres no one left to hurt you. We wont let anything more happen to you Demi.
Selena: Shes right. And were sorry that this happened.
Demi: Thanks guys, but really No one knew what was happening, or how to stop it. (Chuckles a bit, sarcastically) You guys must have thought I left again.
Selena: (Looks away)
Demi: You did, didnt you?
Nick: It was one of many thoughts.
Demi: Guys I wouldnt do that. You know I would come to any one of you if I felt something was pushing me away.
Miley: Of course we do.
David: Were just glad that youre alright.
Demi: (Nods) So, wheres Joe?
David: We tried getting a hold of him, but hes not answering his phone.
Selena: And he wasnt at home.
Miley: We dont really know where he is.
Nick: You being gone has really been eating at him. Hes been blaming himself.
Demi: (Eyes starting to water) But he didnt do anything.
Selena: Well
Demi: No, none of that would have made me want to leave. I love him. I need him.
Nick: Im sure hell be home soon, nothing to worry about.
David: Maybe hes just out looking for you.
Demi: (Throws off the blankets and gets off the bed) I need to find him.
Nick: Demi, youre not supposed to be up yet.
Miley: Please, get back in bed.
Demi: (Feels a slight pain in her stomach) Ow!
David: Whats wrong?!
Demi: (Feels water go down her legs and gather on the floor as her eyes widen)
Selena: (Sees the water on the floor) D, Demi
Demi: My water just broke.
Miley: Oh my god, David get the Doctor.
David: (Runs outside and comes back in with a nurse)
Nurse: Mrs. Jonas, I need you to get back in bed. As for everyone else, you need to leave.
Nick: Dem, well be right outside.
Demi: (Getting back in bed slowly with the nurse helping her) I need Joe.
Selena: Well find him, Demi.
Demi: (Nods, beginning to cry) I need him.
Miley: Dont worry, Hun.
Demi: But you dont understand, I cant do this without him.
Nurse: Okay everyone, please leave. Demi, I need to you calm down. Stress isnt good for your babies.
Demi: (Takes a couple deep breaths and whispers) He cant do this to me.
